i have 2 normal plugs+ 1 extra which i am not sure if i should connect to my psu or not...

it saids on the mannual that i hould connect them when i have 2 video cards working as crossfire,,,

but i only have 1 video card current, so what should i do?
leave it unpluged? or just plug it and see what happens?

If you mean the molex next to the northbridge than yes connect a molex to that

I have that too, and in my manual is also says to plug that in on SLI. What is it for exactly, a steady flow of power to the 2 GFX cards?

DFI Manual said:
The HDD-type and FDD-type power connectors are additional
power connectors. If you are using two graphics cards, we
recommend that you plug power cables from your power supply
unit into the two 5V/12V power connectors. This will provide more
stability to the entire system. The system board will still work even if
the additional power connectors are not connected.
I imagine the function is the same for your boards

Ya, i said no because you dont need too...but if you do it wont effect your mobo until a crossfire setup is enabled. btw where are you?
