I have 41 Shortcuts on my Desktop Does that slow my Computer Down?

I have a Windows 7, 8 GB RAM, i3 Core 2 Processor, 300GB Hard Drive of which about 250 GB is Free and currently have 41 Shortcuts on my Desktop. Are the amount of shortcuts I have too small to affect my computer speed? I also have 3 programs pinned to my taskbar. Thanks for your input.

Well you left out the GPU as icons are display I would want to know that. But the very obvious answer is no way. You could have a thousand (won't fit) and would not matter. You are fine.
