I have 7 svchost.exe open. is it normal?

I have 7 svchost.exe open. is it normal?
4 of them is Local service and 3of them are SYSTEM
i use Norton anti virus 2005.

Yes it's normal.
Google the definition of svchost and what does it do, and you will understand why it's normal.

yeah, i dont have that many SVCHOSTs open but in the past i have; not too sure why some people have more than others but google svchost.exe and you will get some results near the top telling you what it does.
