I have a beef!

Okay, I run Windows XP Pro x64 bit OS, and I have been running it for the past 2.5 yrs, it is a very stable OS. I am getting a little peeved that when someone asks about it. Other people say, don't get it, it has driver issues. And the people that says it has driver issues, had they ever run the Program (OS). When it first came out that was the case. I hope you all realize it, but xp x64 was out before it's time. It wasn't the OS's fault. Hardware and software companies didn't jump on the band wagon for it. That is why the bad rep on it. And when Windows Vista came out the software and hardware companies had jumped over it to bend over backwards for Vista. And we all know that Vista is crap.

Now, I do like Windows 7, I was one of the many that was a beta tester for Windows 7. When ever I get the money to get it I will, but it is hard to get that kind of money when you are on a set income. And I will continue to use Windows XP Pro x64 for my main OS, till it craps out in 2014. If Microsoft doesn't extend the updates past that Date.

XP works fine without Microsoft updates.

My XP computers only have the SP1 service pack. I will probably use XP until there is no more Computer Hardware that supports it.

I stock piled a few motherboards just in case.

i agree with user0one. There is no need to use updates, if anything, as long as your hardware and antivirus are up to date, then your fine.
