I have a internal wi-fi thing in my laptop, do i still need a notebook adapter

I have a tohisba Satellite with a internal modem. were getting the Linksys Gateway(Wireless modem,modem,router). i was wondering do i still need the Linksys notebook adapter because i want to one.I already have a Internal modem that can receive wireless signals!!!Please Help.Thanks

if you already have a internal wireless reciever in your laptop why would you buy a PCMCIA linksys card. Even if you like how it looks it sticks out of your laptop and you would have to take the card out everytime u put it back in its case. Also quality wise there should not be that much differennce plus speed aka (mbps) is only the transfer rate like between two computers and i guess downloads??
