I have a problem, please help me!

I deleted almost everything on my laptops C hard drive. When I try to start it up I get the following message: "NTLDR is missing"
And when I put the windows xp professional cd in and boot it from that the following comes up "INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing, status 47872 Setup cannot continue.
I don't know what to do, could anyone please help me.
 
well I guess you learned a lesson (don't delete almost every thing off your hard drive).

OK, here are some options...

1. Boot up in Knoppix Linux and try undeleting files.
2. Format your HD and reinstall windows
3. Boot up in Knoppix Linux and manually restore the deleted files
 
your hard drive shoudl have nothing to do with booting up a windows xp pro cd. Your cd is scratched or your not booting it right. Dont boot it in xp boot it via f12 or f8 or whatever you use.
