If my Motherboard detects my 400gb SATA in Windows XP installation does that mean I dont have to press F6 and install the SATA Drivers?.

You only press F6 to install SCSI or RAID drivers, not SATA.

You have to install SATA drivers that way if your chipset doesn't have native support. If the drive shows up in the windows installer then you are OK.
