i have a slow gaming laptop should i save money for a pc?

i hate that my laptop takes 10 minutes to open a youtube video and and like an hour to open Roblox on the lowest graphics setting

We need more info like what exact model of laptop you have so we check specs. Most likely it's a very low end machine.

its a HP Pavilion Gaming 15.6" FHD 3.0GHz AMD Ryzen 5 4600H 8GB 256GB GTX 1650

Does it boot up fast? If you go into device manager what does it say under display adapter? There is no reason why it should be running that slow unless an issue with the video card or possibly infected. How long has it been like this?

it boots up a little slow, and it’s been like this for ~2 years (i have had it for 3)

heres the display adapter tab and it says they are working fine

i think it was just my internet for the youtube thing because it works fine. but the roblox and minecraft thing is still here.

There should be an option to enable the dedicated card. Sounds like you may be using the onboard video at the moment. Try opening nvidia control panel and make sure the 1650 is selected for primary output.

oh i did it i was using the wrong menu

Picture provided seems sus that it thinks it's a 1050 and not a 1650 if that's the gpu it came with. Might want to DDU uninstall the nvidia drivers and reinstall the latest one to be careful.

But if it's already fixed because the dGPU is selected now, then you're probably alright.
