Ok guys i have completed my build and lets say this is my first time building a pc for myself. I have installe amd x3 II 720 black edition but when i checked to see what it says for the cpu i see X4. So what does that mean and it says that it runs on four cores. Shouldnt this be 3 core processor.

yeah probably inlocked it buy it self coz i didnt do anything. I was wacthing some youtube videos and i see that this thing is not bad. The other problem that i have now is i am trying to install coreldraw and once i start the setup the pc shuts down all the time. For everything else works fine. I tried to install adobe as well and again same thing pc shuts down. What do you guys think this is.

Sounds like the unlocked core isnt stable perhaps, try disabling Advanced Clock Calibration in the bios and see what happens. Although, what are your full system specs?

Ok guys this is what happened. I updated windows xp pro and installed sp3. So now i can install coreldraw. Do you think this was from the windows xp not been updated.
Also my cpu is running at 36-38C is that normal temperature.

What mobo/gpu/psu are you running?

motherboard: Asus M4A785-M
CPU: Amd Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition
Intagrated Graphics on Mobo, no other graphics card installed
Ram: Crucial 2GB at 1066
PSU: CoolerMaster 400W

I hope this helps.

press ctrl + alt + delete and go to the performance tab and see how many boxes you have if you have 4 then download prim 95 and run that for like two - three hours and see if that 4th core is stable
