I have installed windows 7 on a Toshiba Satellite M45 computer, I am on this computer now lol , I can connect to the internet , but evidentally , I didnt research before I installed windows 7 , and My drivers are too old to use with this windows version ,

So I put my cd rom that came with my computer back in to set everything the way it was when I first got my computer ( I have done this twice in the past )

and it says , something like windows wont read this disc or cant work on this os software

How do I get xp back on my copmuter from my cd rom , I really dont have the money to buy a new computer at the moment .,

Are you booting from the disk by setting the cdrom to a higher priority than the hard drive in the bios then rebooting?

sounds like you are trying to install while running windows which is impossible. and go on toshiba's site. they most likely will have the drivers in a windows 7 version on it.

Marinerules,

Were you attempting to use the drivers disc that came with your Toshiba to setup the peripherals within Windows 7? It is possible new and compatible drivers are available for your system. Prior to migrating to Windows 7 from Windows XP did you run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor?
To determine if your current computer configuration will be compatible with Windows 7 please go to the following link: http://tinyurl.com/no4xb7

Another resource to verify compatibility is available at the Microsoft Windows 7 Compatibility Center located at the following link: http://bit.ly/1gW6Ns
