for some reason my computer stopped being able to play games
Whenever I start an FPS (DoD or CS:S) the program will freeze up, and when I try to play an MMO (Ragnarok Online, which's recomended specs are nothing) it will freeze up.
I got a new router, which I think might've been the problem, since I haven't been able to play games since I got it. I haven't tried to play any games untill today though ><.
The router I have is BUFFALO WHR-G54S IEEE

The adapter i'm using in my computer is U.S. Robotics USR5421 IEEE

Do you think my computer might've like...exploded...or is the the router?

For games using the Source engine you will want to disable anything extra you are running in the background not needed in order to free up memory. Running a good tester like Memtest and monitoring temps to see if something else besides not enough ram or faults with the memory installed is a thought. It sounds like something could be letting go if you haven't added any new programs like a new firewall or antivirus utility.

There may be a software conflict with the card's drivers that you're using. Check and see if there are any updates for the drivers on the card. And did you change your video card drivers around the time this started? That could be a source of the problem as well...

the problem started when i got a new router
I'm using a suggested version of Omega Drivers for my Sapphire 9250 graphics card
It might be memory, after the game screws up websites start chugging (not sure how to explain it it looks like the page refreshes kinda when i scroll up and down
But i'll run a memory test

With Steam and some other games you have to log onto an existing account with the same email address and ISP. With the change over you should try to reconfigure the email adress and possibly password for some. The Omega drivers would conflict with Steam/VALVe for sure. Part of what is seen with HL2 here with the old card was the update notice insisting on the latest Catalyst in order to play the game. Go right to ATI for those!

I took the omega drivers off and put on the latest catylist for my card and everything is fine now. I think Ragnarok Online just didn't like them >>

Omega drivers are essentially third party generic drivers. When logging onto a gaming site where everything is under tight scrutiny like seen at Steam: Source the validation process is more rigid there. In fact when a new Catalyst comes out you can't even run HL2 or others until the update is installed. Everttime you try and logon that prompt stating the latest is out will keeping coming up until the latest goes on. Most Annoying! !!!
