i have no "My computer" and other programs

well, just curious now.
my psu exploded and may have fried everything in my sig...

but, when i installed windows i had to shutdown before i could save prefernces... now when windows loaded up when i got back, the only item on my desktop was the trashcan...
i did start to install the mobo, keyboard, grafics card but i had no "my computer".

so is that cause i had to shutdown before i could finish installing windows??
 
to get back "my computer" etc right click the desktop > properties > desktop > customize desktop, now select which icons you want on the desktop :)
 
oh ok. i cant right now cause my psu exploded

but idk if it all installed, you know when you finish the actual download of windows, the little guys pops up and hes an imaginary helper. i think this is where you have to start typing in stuff. i had to shut it down here and when i booted up again, it brought me to my desktop

ok, is that before the PSU exploded? or after? because if it exploded.. ur pc should not be turning on at all.

and i dont remember seeing an imaginary little helper. xp is all setup, setup, setup, then bam.. u get to the windows GUI, then a notification pops up for a tour of xp.

i remember some kind of helper when i first set up windows. i thought that was at the very beginning though.
 
well this is before my psu had a melt down. just now, i took a closer look at my case and the was some sort of liquid dripping down.
the origin was something green, cause there was a green spec at the top and a very very light green liquid dripping down. i tasted it and didnt taste bitter or acidic so i dunno....



ya i asked my dad at work and he said that is just a getting started guy, and intro before you get to the desktop...
glad i skipped it

liquid inside the case is not a good thing. better find out where that is coming from and put a stop to it.

im just wondering how come you had to shut down before you had it all set up?

i had to go to my great grandmas house.....

and if i left it running, it would have blew b4 i got home !!!!!!!!!!!:o

im not dead or sick or commiting or in extreme pain so it must be nothing much, i mean i stuck my head in the case and took a long lick...

;)

i can see a busted something in my psu, it must have dripped when i tipped it on its side.
no biggy, antec is now responsible for all damaged parts.
so i dont care if it works or not...

im not even sure i should ask, but you did remove the powersupply thats leaking right? you dont want anymore damage than you can help. it will only delay your build.:)
