I have to speak with a manager before getting system recovery disks?

When I went on the HP support chat a year or so ago and asked them if they would send me a system recovery disk, they said yes and sent me some recovery disks since I was still under warrany. I tried to get a recovery disk for my new laptop and they wouldnt send me one, they said I had to speak with the manager first?

With all new machines in the last few years you are given the option to create your own recovery cds when you first login. If not, there is an option under recovery in control panel to create them.
