i installed a new hard drive, and now no sound

i installed a new hard drive on my computer and after i installed XP (SP1) i thought the sound would be automatically detected on my computer, but its not. my sound port is a on-board plug from my MSI motherboard.
the problem is that i do not know what kind of MSI motherboard that i have, so i do not know what driver i should install. is there anyway to find out what kind of MB it is? i opened up the case but it is not labeled on the MB.
is there any thing from windows i can install to get my sound working!!!!................
because my head is about to BLOW OFF!

Try Astra32 to find out what motherboard you have.

does anyone think it could be something else. or do you think its just that i need to install the drivers?
