I Just Ordered The Parts For My New PC!!!

Got a graphics card? What are you using the computer for?

Any need for 2 disc drives? Also I would have spent the little extra to get a 250GB SSD instead of a 120GB. Those EVO's are great drives though, mine's quite speedy.

It's for a home recording studio, not for gaming really. I may get a GPU later down the road for additional monitor support even though the board already supports multiple monitors (I'm only using one monitor for now). I needed to keep the cost down and that 120GB SSD will have more than enough space for my OS and software I need to load. The TB drives are for file/project storage... one to save to and the second to backup the first.

Why does everyone purchase from newegg? Most everything can be had through amazon for cheaper.

Good question! I am an Amazon Prime member (free 2 day shipping as well... duh) and I buy things from there, to my shame, almost daily. I didn't even think to look and compare (I'll total up the same list this weekend and post it and we'll see how they measure up). I suppose using NewEggs's search engine which really helps you narrow down what you want is the reason I was there to begin with.

Actually I just put the exact same list in my Amazon cart and it came to $1,202.27!!! $100.78 MORE than NewEgg!!! Wow! I would never have guessed that... glad I got it where I did but interesting comparison... Amazon usually is cheaper for just about everything.

Amazon is usually more expensive actually.

Maybe for you. A lot of the time Amazon is just that much cheaper that I'd buy from Amazon. Plus free two day shipping with Prime. Only reason I'd spend a little extra at Newegg is for return/warranty service, as Newegg is good about it.

Nice build,If its for a Home Studio i would recommend getting a nice Dedicated Sound card.

Xonar D1 and upwards. :)
