wtf, u should really work on your spelling, theres like a dozen mistakes, lol

i dunno, try FORMAT C: , it does magic :D

Hmm...

What I do when nothing else helps is boot into the other OS i have installed and delete the file in question from there. Try booting into Safemode and deleting/running the scan from there. That could just do the trick. Ignore the above post BTW :)

JAN :D

Try to get rid of the virus in safemode by running Norton or what ever program you have. If that does not work you could go only and research the virus to see what you can do about it. If you have no more options than you should backup files then reformat then reinstall your software.

It says Delete succeeded...access to that file is denied because the file was deleted!

Scan your pc with these two online scanners and if they dont pick anything up delete was successful

PS: I feel comments like these are very unapropiate, for all you know you might be talking to a 6yr old just learning about computers!

Post a hijackthis log so we can see if its a running process, if the antivirus killed it then you should be able to manually delete the files!

This is what symantec website says to remove it!

1.Disable System Restore (Windows Me/XP).
2.Update the virus definitions.
3.Run a full system scan and delete all the files detected.
4.Delete any values added to the registry.
5.Reset the Internet Explorer home page.
6.Reset the Internet Explorer search page.

Click Start > Run.
Type regedit
Click OK.

Note: If the registry editor fails to open the threat may have modified the registry to prevent access to the registry editor. Security Response has developed a tool to resolve this problem. Download and run this tool, and then continue with the removal.

Navigate to the subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\Run

In the right pane, delete the value:

"nvctrl.exe" = "nvctrl.exe"

Navigate to and delete the following subkeys:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\CLSID\{724510C3-F3C8-4FB7-879A-D99F29008A2F}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects
\{724510C3-F3C8-4FB7-879A-D99F29008A2F}
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objecta
\{724510C3-F3C8-4FB7-879A-D99F29008A2F}

Exit the Registry Editor.

No, he should not ignore it. It does help when people spell things right. Makes it much easier to read and understand. There is a spell checker you can download and its not hard to click on it.
