Well, in my oppinion, no... If you want it for gaming, the why not go the PCI-Express way? PCI-Express graphics cards are much cheaper than AGP, and can process games at more than double the speed of an AGP based card. I reccomend an MSI K8N Neo4 motherboard (which has PCI-Express) along with a graphics card of 6600GT (or 6800GT if you have the money), PCI-Express 16x ;)

EDIT: And I would also get a 3000+ CPU or above (Athlon 64).

ic so other than that nothing else

I think you should go for 1 GB of RAM, get 2x512 MB RAM so you can go dual-channel ;) (DDR400/PC 3200 or above)

If it's S754 it won't support Dual Channel. If it's 939 it will.

You wanna try and convince me a PCIe 6800GT is cheaper than the AGP 6800GT ;)

Well in that case, it's 939
Actually, it's not. The board is S754 so unless you plan on buying a single channeled S754 proc, yer in for a dissapointment
