Well, looks like you have 4GB of 667 memory, which is decent. And you have an older Am2 processor. It's pretty good, but will probably effect the performance of the rest of your system.

Is this a pre-built Acer, I'm assuming? If so, you absolutely need to replace your power supply to handle a 6950.

But with this outdated machine, you might be better off trying to sell it and using the money towards a new build or buying a cheaper graphics card.

Probably a 6870 would be a good choice. You'll have to get at least a quality 550w power supply to run that card, as well.

Open up the case and write down the specifications. Or find the make and model online. There's a 99.99% chance its around 250w and not enough to run a separate video card. That's the problem with pre-build computers. They skimp on the power supply.

I have a FSP400-60THA Which is 400 watts, How much will a 550 watts power supply be? and will it be easy to put in?

It's going to be upwards of $70-$100 for a decent one. And some don't work with a pre-built computer. Might want to wait for another member to weigh in on this.

What claptonman is saying is that most all PSU's will work, but not all will fit in the machine as intended from the maker. Most of the time on prebuilts, you have to do some drilling of the case to make the PSU fit.

I do know that there are brands that make PSU's that fit the prebuilt computers.... but there again, you may not be getting the quality you need.
