I need a new laptop

I currently have a acer ashire 15" with 2.24 ghz intel i3-350 4 gigs ram, 500 gig drive, and a cd/dvd drive. I got it about a year ago and about 6 months ago i started having problems with it but it was fine because it was under warrenty but now i am thinking next time it goes down( audio not working, crashes, and many other things its done in the past) it wont have warrenty and that could mean loss profits because i use my laptop for my dj business. I am looking to get a different laptop that needs over 500 gigs ram and is faster and has better audio card in it for my music. My sister thinks a used mac is the way to go because i dont have the money to spend 1500 on a laptop. And is it just my luck with my acer or are all pcs done after warrenty. And if i get another should i consider extending the warrenty?



The laptop will run a 1200 watt peavey xr8600 that runs 2 peavey pr15 and a prsub
 
Lenovo Thinkpad are nice, Sony Vaio are nice as well and I do like Samsung but I have heard some bad things about there tech support.
 
I think you should go with Dell.It will definitely not give any such problems. I'm using it since 3 years. You can get discounts on its purchase using Dell Coupon.
