I need a vcard suggestion for a 1x pci-e

most of those connectors go to like your dvd drive...harddrive...that sort..there should be a special connector for your pci e card and then a bigger connector that plugs into the motherboard just remove the other one and slide this one in its place with the fan on the flatside facing down it should screw in place if you need help use your old psu as a guide and it should come with instructions as well and no its not external :)

that actually seems like one of the nicer HP computers get a good power supply and a nice pci-e card and you'll be smoking...as for the 7900 some say its good some say its bad the stock cooler seems to be a big issue with a lot of people and that card is out of stock on newegg...if you can afford the 7900 i would try for a radeon x1900

OK man thanks for your help. much appreciated

Installation of the power source and the video card are fairly easy. Look at the links below. I could tell you but I believe there are better instructions online then I could give.

Some good advice is work slow, always allow for more time then expected. Take notes of where wires, screws, anything you remove go. Also label wires with paper stickers to allow easy recognition. Understand what you read. Take the time to reread instructions to fully understand. Have fun! If you get aggravated walk away and take a deep breath. If you get annoyed easily or need you computer for more then recreation then have someone do it professionally.
Oh Yeah HAVE FUN!!!!:D

Not really, the fan is a little noisey but the card works fine for me. Also just installed a new bios the lowers the speed of the fan when the cards not in full use. Now its not as bad but when it gets going you hear it.

Oh yeah.. the card kicks ass!
