i need advice on new psu

hello all =)

my system is

quad 2,4
8800 gts 640mb
3gb ram
vista ultimate 64

im running this spec since 1 year now, but nothing happened to the pc , but everyone is saying that 400 isnt enough

but my psu is 400 watts ! is this normal? someone told me that ur cpu is gonna blow and take the mobo with it, and when i play crysis i cant play it on high is that maybe the psu is just 400 watts? someone told me to get at least 620 watts .

what type of PSU do you have? what are the amp outs?
400 watts is pretty low for an 8800 gts but i heard crysis is very difficult to run at high resolutions(Although ive never played it)

i dont know :S all i know is its a 400 watts from Antec

if i get 1000 watts whats the point then a 620 watts?

watts doesnt mean anything... its the number of amps out that really is important... Although there are minimal requirements for each video card

this card has a 400 watt min.. Getting a new power supply would be a good idea i think, I cant tell you that it will improve crysis but it will make it simplier to add more drives and ram
