i have two temperature monitoring programs one is everest which gives me a more detailed temperature monitoring then the program that came with my motherboard.

the thing im having trouble with is on my everest program it tells me the temperatures of the different parts of my system but i dont know what aux is and where aux is can somebody please tell me where it is

heres a picture that may help out i put it to my angelfire site and aux when i play games tends to hit high temperatures like 50 celcius and i would like to know what part of my system is aux so i can find a way to keep it cool

by the way save this image to your pc and use the windows xp tool to zoom in and see the picture better i didnt know how to make it any bigger then what it is im sorry for that but just do that and your be able to see the words clearly

also i have another question

well imma just say the specs of my machine b4 i ask it.

3.06 Ghz Intel Celeron D Processor Socket 478
768 DDR megabytes Ram
Geforce MX 4000 64 Bit Video card
160 Gigabyte Serial ATA Hard Drive

now heres my question i was wondering umma my Celeron processor usually stays at about between 46 to 50 degrees and my room is like a green house when the sun shines it makes my room very hot but even at night its still warm in my room and when i open window it still doesnt get very cool but when it rains my cpu is at about 48 46 degrees depending on if i have window open on a cool day and its about to get hot soon

i have a front and back 120mm fan blowing toward back of tower bottom front blowing back and top back blowing air straight out and side fan is blowing inside at moment and my cpu has a masscool 478 heatsink with thermal solution on it and my computer has been running well over 100 hours since i had the heatsink i was wondering as to how i can get my cpu to be cooler then that isnt between 45 and 50 celcius still kinda hot? oh and in daytime sometimes when i run video games the cpu goes to 55 60 degrees Celcius.

is this normal temp for cpu or should it be cooler cuz my heatsink runs at about 3100 or 3200 rpm from time to time.

and its bout to get real hot here soon was 80 degrees today and i was worried about using my pc when it gets 90 and 100 degrees should i worry eventhough my celeron is new and i dont wanna burn it out and overdo it i really want this machine to last me a good while

I found the following here http://www.lavalys.com/products/faq.php?pi...ang=en&pageid=5

"Q#17: What does the "Aux" temperature shown on the Computer / Sensor page mean?
A#17: There is no standard for sensor registers layout, so the "Aux" temperature could show the temperature of the CPU or the motherboard, or might be a non-connected wire of the sensor chip, and so it could show a bogus value. "

50C really isnt too that hot for your CPU. If it gets up to 65-70, then you might wanna do something about it. Usually its either fine, or too hot...if you start having problems, like it randomly shutting down, it might be getting too hot. But overall it sounds like your temps are fine.
