i need help, i can't enter to the internet

Hellow frinds
My problem is that my two computers in home
That connected to wise link router do not enter to the internet
This router have approximate 5 years old
In my local area connection appear
Connected status
Vilocity 100.0 mbps
Activity
Recive 1 portion
Send 2011 portion
In my router there is two green light for the two computer
One green light for WAN
One red flashing light for ready
And one turn off light for data
I take my leptop to the work and connected the internet cable to my leptop and appear that my leptop was connected but can not enter to the internet
Also I have one year another problem that this two computers have a crash IP but I do not do nothing about this problem
I will be glad to recive any information (I prefer an answer wich a lot of detiled) or links to solve that help me to solve this problem

Im trying to listen to everything your saying but lets keep it simple.
Where the cable or cat5 comes in. connect directly to the computer and bypass the router. will the connection work?

unplug the router. use an inkpen to reset it.
leave it unplugged for a couple minutes.
if the computer is working on the net.
hook it back up.
