re:

If you mean new games like EQ 2 , Doom 3, Farcry ect High intense graphics. You have the right components.

All depends on brand / make / model ect. for example, some Samsung harddrives has fluid dynamic bearing spindle motor technology, high speed dual digital signal. Can send and recieve data quicker. Can go into more detail, but your fine with 40GB harddrive unless its at capacity. Hope this helps.

its running at 7,200 so not really. However its quite small and you may hit you limit quite early, especially if you installing a lot of games

i think the most important factor to consider is exactly how old is the hard drive. They are usually the first things to die and if its 5+ year old you may want to consider getting a new one just in case.

could you post links at to where you are geting this stuff and how much you are paying?

Correct me if im wrong but you're buyign a (pretty dang good) video card to install on a mobo with integrated video?

oops i didnt see that thanks :o i dont know what mobo to buy ?

Well since you're in K8 PCIE land, your options are Via's K8T890 chipset and nVidia's NForce4 (and between the two, the NForce4 series is handsdown better). :) Depends on your budget but MSI's K8N Neo4 and DFI's Lanparty4 series are excellent boards
