hey everyone. my computer is acting strange i cant really explain it but i will try. it boots up fine but when i log in onto a user account it doesnt load all the programs and the bottom blue bar doesnt want 2 come up. also doesnt want 2 open up internet or show wat folder i have open on the blue bar. and i open the task manager it says mem usage 100% wat should i do? thanks! its win xp pro

I suspect you have a virus on your machine ...
Try scanning for it or do a fresh install ... I suspect it's a Worm32 Virus
 
^^^^ I agree run a few AV programs, also check to see how your defrag is, because sometimes if you need a defrag bad enough it will cause alot of sluggish actions.
 
Try to remember if you've recently installed something.. i installed spywarrior or sumthin like that and i had weird probs like that for awhile till i uninstalled it.
 
yea system restore is one of the programs that wont work. the computer will only open up itunes, virus programs and folders but it wont display them on bottom blue bar. even on safe mode it wouldn't work. i had a 2nd os on the computer xp x64 it worked just fine but i have no internet driver 4 it so it didn't work out 4 me! but now that os is gone it dont give me an option 2 bootup
 
hmmm ok well i backed up my drive C on a different hard drive and i started up my computer with windows 64 Bit XP and i opened the backup file and it backed up all the files back on to drive C So i restarted my computer and the only operating system i had was windows XP Professional and my windows 64 bit was gone even tho it was on a different partion on the hardrive and the windows files were on the drive still. Anyways after backing up the files the Windows Professional still didnt work. so that didnt work. If i reinstall windows how hard would it be to get all my drivers and software back? would i have to re-buy the programs? Thanks
