Hi, I'm Trying to install a new processor that i recently bought and i can't seem to get it to work. I have a motherboard and chipset from VIA but i don't know what kind at the moment and there are no jumpers as far as i can tell that are for the FSB and i HAve to change it from 100mhz to 133mhz!

Thanx,
Sedlock-Dustin.

Some motherboards require the FSB to be changed via a jumper (my old Epox 8K3A+ was one of them). If this is your problem, your computer should boot, but not detect the processor at it's correct frequency, e.g. it may appear as a 1.2Ghz rather than a 1.6 (i'm just making up numbers here). Your motherboard manual should have info on how to increase the FSB, either in the BIOS or by moving a jumper.

What motherboard do you have, and is your computer booting at all?
