Ok I know as much as I need to know to build a computer (thanks to praetors 101s) but now I need to know more about the software part about computers or the stuff you do once you turn on the computer whatever you want to call it. I need link to stuff to read about how to overclock just give me link to whatever I dont care if you make a big long post with 200 links I know all the basics about computers so none of that stuff. thanks in advance :D .

I'm very sorry its deleted now. I meant something else thats not illegal I just used the wrong word. I heard someone talking about it maybe it was installing windows without using the product key that comes with the cd. No wait that sounds like it would be illegal too.

that should eb absolutely fine, i am assuming you mean using say a friends PC's xp disk, but a key that you ahve legally purchased
and i think this should answer your original question:
once you turn your computer on your computer you should just be able to boot up wiht the xp disk and install it following the on screen instructions, assuming the CD drive is set higher in the boot priority order

yeah I knew how to do that already I installed linux on a computer before. All I want is stuff like http://www.pcmech.com/byopc/ only I want stuff about software and I dont want it to be from PCmech. If no one posts anything I've got a book my brother gave me that was for a college class that he completed I could always read that I guess.
