Hey guys, new to the forums, and Ive come with a small problem
I recently formatted my computer, and stored my files on my iPod.
When I open the iPod in my browser and try to copy the files to my computer, it tells me that "the request could not be performed because of an I/O device error".
Any suggestions on how to avoid re-downloading everything I have there?
If that doesn't work: Assuming that you have XP: go to the Device Manager and right click the drive and choose Uninstall ... then reboot. XP will reinstall the drive and drivers.
If that hasn't fixed it there are some general ideas here:
How to troubleshoot common problems that occur when a Windows XP-based computer cannot read a CD or a DVD
Last but not least: as the computer is less than a year old I assume that it is under warranty.
If so you should have access to free support or repair from your manufacturer.
Hmm, I tried all that, and the autoplay wizard didnt find the problem. I uninstalled the driver and it still occurs.
When I try to play a song off the device on my computer, it says that it is an invalid Win32 application. Perhaps that could shed some light on the situation??
