Ok thease are the parts i have-

Mobo: ASUS Rampage II Extreme Motherboard

Case: ThermalTake Xaser VI Steel Chassis

Ram: CMD12GX3M6A1600C8 12GB

For ssd thinking OCZ 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk, MLC, SATA-III (VTX3MI-25SAT3-120G) Vertex 3 Max IOPS Series

Which power supply?
- ThermalTake 1200W ToughPower Power Supply, 14cm Fan - Modular??

-Corsair 1000W HX1000W ??

How about the GPU id like to get the best graphics from a single card any suggestions?

I'm assuming you can take the Corsair (since I have access only to ThermalTake PSUs where I live). Corsair's PSUs are a popular choice, and many people on this forum will recommend it. Granted... I know nothing about this brand, but other people have confidence in it.

the best single card GPU s the GTX590. Then its the HD6990/HD 7970 and GTX580. If you have no experience with CF or SLI drivers then go for a GTX580 3gb or a HD7970.

Power wise, as long as you are only running a single card, 850 is overkill. 650 will run practically anything you can get in the single card department.
Brands that are ok to get in the PSU department: Antec, Corsair, PCPAC, Seaconic, Silverstone, and XFX. Any other brands are subpar and will not have the same evel of quality.

I would suggest 2500K with the 7970 with a Corsair AX 750

Is the 2500K a compatible CPU for my board?

Thanks wolfeking interesting post i was going to go for 1000w psu but think i could get away with less, but i WILL see because I don't want to be limited in THE future if I decide to upgrade or go sli or something :)
