I really need ram help

Ok so 3 weeks ago I built my own computer and put 2x 2gb dual channel mushkin DDR3 ram into my gigabyte ud3p motherboard. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146871. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128392.
I found out the ram was making my computer freeze and tested both pieces with the same freezing result.(after anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours the computer would freeze and the speakers would make a different noise each time but it would always be loud and hurt my ears.) I happened to have a 3gb tri channel ddr3 kit I had gotten for 40$ as a deal and just popped that in. And it never froze and ran perfectly for budget ram. So RMA'd the ram for a replacement. Now I got 2 new sticks and my computer still freezes. i did a mem test on both and they had no errors. However when together and on their own they make my computer freeze the exact same way. I have no idea what to do. or why this is happening. Anyone have any ideas? I am pretty frustrated. Thanks.

well to me it looks like you motherboard supports 1333mhz ram standard, is it possible that because your ram is higher clock than stated on your motherboard you might need to up the voltage to 1.85volts-1.95volts as to the ram specification then set the ram frequency to 1600mhz?

you would have to access your bios and have a look in there, i could tell you how to do it with your bios as every mobo company has different setup

is the set of budget ram you used less mhz?

mushkin is a really good set of ram by the way

i think its the voltage, them ocz sticks run at 1.65volts and the mushkin is rated at 1.85volts min!

maybe you need to up the voltage to make the stick stable

i had the same problem in my q6600 build, i was using corsair ram for ages then decided to get some ballistix and it was constant blue screens until i realised that the voltage was different so a quick increase stabalized the system

well if that is what it is stated at running i guess you should increase the voltage, you cant expect the ram to run right if not

cool no prob, there rating them sticks at between 1.85-1.95volts so if it still not stable increase it a little more.

if you get to 1.95volts and they are still not stable you will have to look into changing them

so far it is working. Haven't used the computer for more than 3 hours yet though. When I set the ram to 1600mhz like it is meant to run at should I change the volts to 1.95 volts? Right now it is at 1333.
