I recently bought a HP Pavilion 21.5" monitor and I'm having issues.

when i turned on my computer, all the edges seemed to be missing a couple of pixels like if i moved my mouse to the edges it would disappear. Is it maybe a compatibility issue with my computer or something? Or am I dumb and it's an easy fix?

Does it happen on all edges? It's suppose to do that only on right and bottom as the tip of the arrow is the pixel you're pointing at.

That happend to me, too. i fixed it by booting into BIOS (F12, OR Esc) and going into safe mod and changing the resolution and other settings.

You can't enter Safe Mode by entering the BIOS

Yea, it's almost like my computer thinks the monitor is 22 inches and not 21.5

You can usually go into your monitor settings and expand the screen horizontally and vertically.

You can adjust scaling from Windows but it won't look right. Your monitor might have an overscan/underscan feature.
