I REeally Need Help Please..

I spend over 300$ to fix my computer
my 750i mobo said FF and it was just dead
my computer wouldnt even turn on

So i got a 790i and 6gb of ram
Installed everything

and when I turn it on, it shows the Bios then says
Detecting IDE drives
and it shows the bios everything is good
then it turns off

Then all the lil lights turn on, on my mobo
it says CPU is hot the light turns red
I spend to much alreayd how do i fix it Please

make sure your heatsink is applied to your cpu properly... make sure it is secured and tight and all the cables are in their appropriate slots on the mobo for the fan.

tried it, the fan is working good, is it possible that this is the cause of my computer shutting off?
what else can it be?

yeah i have seen before if the cpu over heats or the heatsink isnt applied right the pc will shutdown during post because it spins up just fast enough to jiggle loose or something... but if you checked it we will move on.

So your saying bios completes? have you tried disconnecting your hard drives to see if it does something different?
