OK I have a question! I registered my sites URL a wile ago with Google but it obviously did not get added to there index until just a few days ago, now here's the thing if I type [my domain name with out the .com extension] it will appear [my domain name with the .com extension] and I can click on it and it will take me to my site, but my problem is is says absolutely nothing about my site, it doesn't say the size, any text contained in my site, and the actual address [http://domain name.com/index.html/, so I have assumed that this is just the result of Google registering my domain but just not yet crawling it could someone tell me if I'm right :)

D**m, its been ages since I touched my website...anyway, more to the point, are you sure you have meta data and content in your coding (the words that describe the page). Without them I don't think Google would make up any descriptions.

Are you sure? I thought it just kinda visited your site.

well anyway what exactly is [meta data and content in your coding]
I would like to know:D because I don't have anything like it so it couldn't hurt:P

I don;t think google refers to meta info as much as some search engines, when it crawled my site it had no meta info but built up a description from the text on the home page, clever, and like holiday said it visits your site and does some clever stuff to index the pages
