I salvaged some stuff

One of the computer techs at my school knows me well and the school had some stuff to trash this year, I saw a chance for salvage. I salvaged the following:

(6) NEC 64Mb NonECC RDRAM| hp code 1818-7743
(4) Toshiba 64Mb RDRAM|hp code 1818-7743
(10) hp 1818-7718 133Mhz RAM
(1) Hyundai 128Mb 133Mhz RAM

I need more specs on this stuff, could someone help me out here?

I also got some Hard drives.

(3) Maxtor RT020H2 20Gb HDD
(1) Quantum Fireball lct 15 20Gb HDD
(1) HP 20Gb unidentified HDD
(1) Maxtor D540X-4K

I need spec's on all of this, if you guys can find it. Would this be worth trying to sale?

Thanks

Looks like you just got a couple of sticks of RDRAM and couple of plain SDRAM since its marked as 133 instead of 266, two old 20gb IDE drives a 15 gb IDE drive and I think that bottom MAXTOR is a 20gb IDE. Not worth all that much unless somebody really neded some of it. I have all kinds of stuff like that left over in boxes, cant get rid of it and cant bring myself to throw it away:cool:

I'll take those RD-RAM chips :P Haha...

None of that's probably worth too much as it's all a rather small size. You may be able to sell the the HD's as a lot if you really want to. Maybe the same with the RAM, but people are typically interested in larger chips.

Ill take the RAM too =P could use some in my P4 computer.. literally it runs off of pc100 ram... and yeah. i cant help myself to throw away my 486....

I have a crap-load of stuff coming out some Dell's next year............This is hilarious, an area prison donated some Dell stuff, the school just tossed it all in a big storage room. Next year they are gonna clean it out and I will be able to grab a few 478 P4 3Ghz and hopefully some DDR 400 or DDR2 533. Will I be able to use any of this RAM in a HP 533W?

All that stuff might fetch around 200 bucks on eBay. I would just use it, like the 20 hard drives can be turned into external portable hard drives.

hah, I was thinking more along the lines of fetching $50... $100 at the most.

Still, not bad for free.

Nah, some people are not very bright, I sold a stick of 256MB SD RAM for 45 AUD not including postage. By the way I was referring to 200 AUD, so its abit over 100 USD.

What do you mean that school is an idiot? That school isn't an idiot to me, as long as they are letting me loose on that stuff. Do you finally see where unused tax money goes? The library downtown, gets new PCs every year and I have agreed to work on them, as long as I can have the computers after they get new ones. Haha, YES!! I asked elitehacker about this a while ago, and finally I have found my resources.
