I think 1900 virus is not good.

I got AVG today (the free version) and im about half way through the scan and I already have 1900 spyware/viruses/ect. Its only been 72 days since my last scan with norton antivirus. And all my other programs (Adaware SE,spybot s&d, ect) did not detect any of these virus/spyware/ect. The thing that is making me wonder is the fact that they are all from the same file folder. C:/documents and settings/(my name)/complete. I took a look inside the folder and there are thousands of zip files. All randomly named. Everything from battle field 1942 to java. I opened up one of the .zip and all it had was a .exe (no I didnt click it.) I dont EVER remember installing any of these. Are they viruses? How did they get there? (I have 2 firewalls)

And no sorry I cant post a hijack this, avg wont let me do much untill I either say delete to all these files or to keep them.

Im kinda worried that my pc is more volnerable(SP?) than I thought. :eek:

P.S. I can post a pic, wont be easy with a camera though. (wont let me take a screen shot)
 
My friend has something that sounds like that. Is it just tons of random games Zipped into a 4kb.exe??? If I remember right he booted into safe mode and got ride of all those files.

PS: My friend was also really big on that P2P stuff. So if your using any of that stuff I recommend unistalling all the P2P files if you have any.
 
Ya, ton of random games. The scan is almost over 6018 zip files all packed into 1.15gbs.

I have a p2p program but I only use it so my friends and I can trade programs we made (we have fun programing in c++ then send them to each other to test before we send them out on the net).
 
This is what my friend did when I asked him (He has Windows XP). All he did was save his pictures and other important data in the shared folder, he knew this data wasnt infected then deleted his Xp account and made a new one.
 
I just let AVG delete all the zips. then I got rid of my p2p, then I asked my friend (who has the same program) if he had the same folder and zips. He didnt so I got my p2p back.

Is your friends p2p limewire perhaps. :P
