i think i have a trojan...help

so I was on myspace today, and I came across this persons profile, and it had this big thing blotting it out, and I clicked it (i know, retarded thing to do) and all of a sudden it downloaded and installed MMCodec or somethign like that onto my computer, I uninstalled it, but my computer has been acting up, and I ran Adaware SE, and Spyware Doctor, and I dont think threy fixed the problem. Anyywa, in the MMediaCodec directory folder, there is a file called isamini.exe, and it is running when I go to the Windows Task Manager, and I cant stop it. I looked it up, and some people said it was a trojan, others said malware...I dont know but I purchased norton, and since upgraded to Windows 64 bit and norton hasnt worked on 64 bit for some reason, at least last time I checked...can anyone help me?

You may want to start Windows in safe mode, and try to manually delete the folder. Then run ad-aware when you boot back into Windows to remove any remaining traces.
 
this warning has also popped up 5 times now since I posted the original message....and is popping about once a minute, things are not looking good..

ok, i was able to start in safe mode and delete it, but I dont know if that means the virus is gone...how can I be sure?

no problem, I was wondering the same thing...I seen your problem also, and that looks pretty bad. I would help you too but I dont have a clue about viruses. and whenever you comment on mine I go back to the top of the page haha

Ok first thing is first. The Ballon you get, is it from an anti-virus program? If it isn't, DON'T click on it.

Second thing, scan with Spybot, Spyware Terminator, AVG Anti-Spyware free, and Windows Defender.

Third thing, make sure you have a firewall. If you don't I recomend Zone Alarm or Comodo.

Fourth thing, Norton isn't working because you are using Windows 64 Bit. The version of Norton you have is only for 32 Bit.

Fifth thing, the *32 in your task manager is probably showing you the processes that are running 32bit. But I could be worng.

Sixth thing, find the folder and put it on these two sites and see what it shows http://www.virustotal.com/en/virustotalf.html

Seventh thing, if you are not running anti-virus software, download AVG free or Avast! They are both free.

Just do a Google on the programs I said and you should find them. If you need more help, post back

the balloon is not from an anti-virus, and I did click on it...but it hasnt appeared since I deleted the root folder MMCODEC in safe mode.

I will try the other things youve suggested. thanks
