I think I'm tricked

I buyed a computer on the local shop, I've no idea where the papers are, it's an Acer Extensa e-series, I don't know the numbers or so , but when I goto acer.com to find the computer I can't even find the "Extensa" computers, just the laptops! So I think I got tricked from the local computer store, can any1 help me?
 
Right click Computer (or my computer if you are running XP) and click properties. It will say Manufacturer (which should be Acer) and model. If the model number isn't Extensa, google the model number and see what comes up
 
Is this a laptop or desktop? Acer Desktops should have a little sticker somewhere on the sides or rear with the model number, serial, etc. Was this a refurbished computer? If so, it likely has generic or maybe even incorrect make/model info in the Windows install.

I've a desktop and I can't find MY computer, and the rigth clicking on "computer" didn't work, but I found out I was tricked on the RAM they said I had 6 gb when I've 4...

Windows 7 and Vista 32-bit 'support' 4GB of RAM, but won't use it all. If I put 6GB RAM in my laptop, it will only detect 4GB. Most likely, you have a 32-Bit OS.

It isn't something unique to Vista and 7, it is all 32-bit operating systems
 
For the RAM memory,go to the BIOS and check your total RAM memory there and you will know how much you have.If it shows 6 GB of RAM and in Windows OS it shows 4 GB of RAM then that is because you have 32-bit OS and 32-bit OS does NOT support more then 4 GB of RAM and therefore it will always show 4 GB of RAM as most.

As for the computer model and manufacturer,go to RUN and there type "dxdiag".Under "System Manufacturer:" you can see the manufacturer's name and under "System Model:" you can see your system model name.

  • Download Speccy from here and then install it.
  • Run Speccy, then after it's finished loading click the File menu and then click Save As Text File.
  • Then open up the text file and copy and paste the contents into a post.
