I think my Hard drive is bad

I just started to have this happening. I was playing MW2 then the game crashed. Ended it, back to normal. Then I was browsing the web on google chrome and it crashed. Said Files are corupt.. Also your prefrances cannot be read. And its glitchy and freezes off the bat with chunks of black screen. Internet exprorer works fine. So I did a malwarebytes scan. When I lauched it it gave me an error (forgot what it said). I finally got it to launch and did a full scan with updated database and nothing. I tried another game- awlaws worked before. Worked for 2 min and then crashed, codwhatever.exe is not responding. Now im here. Im not very good at dealing with this stuff. How to I check my disk? Will an OS re-install stop it? It this usuall signs of HDD failure? Any Help would be appricated.
 
Have you been getting any bluescreens lately? Is the drive making odd noises? Have you looked in the Event Viewer to see if there are any issues relating specifically to the disk?
 
One sign of a broken Hardrive is clicking noises. Have you been hearing clicking noises?
 
I'd still take a quick look in the Event Viewer just to see if any errors/warnings there are related to a possibly bad HDD.
