I think my monitor is playing games on me!!!

I have a 19" Samsung LCD monitor...about 15 days old. About a week ago it had started to blank out the left half of the screen. not all the time it was black though, it was kinda a mix of colors of which screen i was currently on (blue and green if on the mainpage). it was working for about 30min-2hr before blanking that side out, i could function everything else. if i restarted it would be perfectly normal again.

This happened two times last week, once while playing games, and once while on the net. Then for some reason it had stopped blanking out and worked perfectly until today when it did it again while playing MOH. i don't get it. im actually surprised it is working now. because it has been on for 1hr already :P

EDIT: It just happened again. i restarted and it kept the blank half on... think it needs to be off for a while.
Also....i have my sub on the desk right next to the monitor...could this cause a problem moniter related or not?

okay, ill download that when i can see the other half :P i found that my video card has a tempurature gauge on it. it says my GPU is running at 50c. i have it set to tell me if it reaches danger levels.
 
i can still only see half of the creen but i managed to download it and run the test. all the hardware is fine, and my GPU is at 50Celcius...is this normal or is it too high which is causing the problem? im not too sure whut the normal is for a GPU.

Depends on the GPU what is yours? Mine idles around 45-47C load is 48-55C. so 50C is just fine but all depends on what kind of card you have.
 
okay, i'll try the other connector when this happens again. even though half the screen is blank i can still move my mouse underneath it and move or open icons that i cant see.
