I think my network card is fried?

Last night when I was on the internet some pages wouldn't be able to load, and on a lot of pages that loaded the pictures wouldn't load.

Well today I couldn't get on the internet with that same computer at all. I've ran msn diagnostics and it says everything is ok, I ran the diagnostics tool in network center and it doesn't find any issues. I've switched between the two ports I've had, switched ports on my router, released IP addresses on the router, and disabled and enabled the network card. I also checked for driver updates and tried my cable on another computer and it worked on that one.

Is my network card fried on that computer? It's an EVGA 780i SLI motherboard with 2 onboard network ports. The orange light blinks when I have the cable plugged in and device manager picks them up.

I would say more likely you are infected, have you ran and malwarebytes scans lately? If you think your network card is dead try getting a dedicated network card and putting it in and trying it.

Earlier today I set up a static IP and everything worked. Then tonight I went on and it went back to automatic. Msn works but the internet won't and windows can't search for updates. I tried setting up the static IP again but it didn't change a thing.

I would say you are infected and need to download malwarebytes and hijackthis from a different computer and transfer them to that computer with a usb flashdrive.
