I wanna file a complaint with Dell/Intel or whoever was so responsible. My new laptop comes with a C2D with 4MB. Guess what the sticker on my laptop says? -> "Intel Centrino Duo". :-(

That doesn't mean that it doesn't have a Core 2 Duo in it...

Right click on my computer and click properties then see what processor you have. If its not a Core 2 Duo then you may have grounds to file a complaint, but not just because a sticker says so!

I guess I have to explain:

There are no "Centrino" processors, there are just "Centrino compatible" processors that meet the demands of the requirements stated by Intel. So, most likely, you have a Core 2 Duo processor, and it is compatible with Centrino, and it is a dual core processor, so it is "Intel Centrino Duo".

Download CPU-Z and check your processor. Most likely, you'll find out that it is a C2D :)

EDIT:
Here's even a link: http://www.intel.com/products/centrino/index.htm

Intel® Centrino® Duo mobile technology
Now available with the Intel® Core™2 Duo processor

whats the problem? i dont get it? is it cos its not what you thought it was? just send them a complaint letter and it should sort whatever problem you have! but your laptop seems alrite to me!

My new Dell computer has the same sticker and I know for a fact it has the T7400 Core 2 Duo processor. Just remove the sticker! Or leave it on so it will be less of a temptation for thieves.
