For just 5.1 you could go with the Audigy SE model for $26.99 seen at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829102010 But the hot card out now is the X-Fi Extreme seen for $45.99 at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16829102007 The Diamond model simply offers support for EAX 2.0, 3.0 most likely borrowing some Creative software.
