i want to upgrade this hp's processor, can i???

k its a hp pavilion a1010n, but its proc is only an intel [email protected] stock. i want to know if this computer can be upgraded to ANYTHING stronger then this laggy, crappy cpu

EDIT: ok heres the extent of my procs bad performance. i CANT scroll on a web page without wmp LAGGING in a song. i mean real lag, not a little jump...

A pentium 4 3.4ghz at best but you won't see those in shops anymore, maybe in ebay but they go for 70$+

no not pentium celeron is what i have. celeron D

EDIT: is this a good deal for the best proc for 478? ebay: pentium IV extreme edition or maybe this : newegg.com pentium 4 3.0GHZ

Best that Newegg has, 478 is outta date.

cuz the processor you have atm is the better you can get with that socket 478, was checking around and it seems intel had a better model but they don't sell it anymore
