I WAS happy, now im furious!

ok this build is not liking me too much. i have tried taking out one stick of ram and setting the timings to 4-4-4-12 at ddr2 667, lowering the processor back to stock speeds, but random things are causing me to freeze up, i can move the mouse around, but that little loading circle replaces the pointer and i cannot click anything. from what i can tell the northbridge is kinda hot, but not too hot to touch.

the processor is idling at 31C, perfectly fine...

there are a few things that cause a crash, trying to save a file, opening a file, accessing my dvd drive, turning on diagnostics like speedfan, and even opening firefox sometimes.


please, help!!!

OK guys, i know the rest of my hardware rocks, but this motherboard just isnt working out.

too many problems to list im just gonna return it and get a gigabyte ep35-ds3p.

how does the newegg RMA process work? i have requested the rma and it has been accepted, what do i do now? will newegg send me a box and i send it back, do i have to ship it to them, what do i do now?

I had to ship my RAM back to them. Remember the 15% restocking fee

I'd Memtest86 the RAM first. 15% of a motherboard can get pricy.

yeah i know, its unfortunate but even the IT guys i brought over give me no hope for this mobo

so what is involved in returning the merchandise? whats the whole process?
