hello i was offered a Apple IBookG4 for my nitro powered RC car which is worth about 400 dollars. The lap top is pretty much brand new, little use on it. I am pretty sure these are the specs.
Processor Class: PowerPC G4
Processor Speed: 1.42 GHz
Installed Memory: 512 MB
Hard Drive Capacity: 60 GB
Display Size: 14.1 in
Operating System: Apple MacOS X 10.4
Weight 6 lbs

I Know the Memory is low, how could i upgrade this? how much would it be to have it done by a pro? I can get a external HD so the HD space is no problem...how about the processor? And over all do you think it is a fair
trade for my $400.00 R/C Car??
jeff
Overall i wont be doing much, No gaming, just music which can be downloaded to the external HD and pictures that can be put on a external HD too. I will be using wireless internet. Most of all i will be serching the net and forums.

You should look into some "Black Friday" deals going on November 23rd in the early morning. You can get some really good laptop deals if your willing to stand outside before the store opens.

Here's an example: CLICK It's a Compaq with Pentium Dual-core, 1GB ram, 80GB hard drive, wireless integrated, DVD-RW drive, and Vista Home Premium all for $299 after $50 mail-in-rebate.

the revo will need a rebuild soon the motor is losing compression
And i wouldnt be able to ebay the revo, get the money via paypal then get the money in cash and have it in hand by friday. So overall are the ibooks pretty good for music and internet serching?

yuep, 250 :) I broke the frame a few months ago and then i got a new frame and went riding last monday and got in a head on collision with another guy on a dirtbike. He was on the wrong side of the rode btw ;). But yeah it dented my fork, bent the rotor and broke out a few spokes. Its all good though because he's paying for the parts.

yeah? thats cool he better pay haha i have a XR400 were lookin for a yz250f now...the 400 is just too much of a beast lol its a 00' too so its gettin old. We just traded our 97' Banshee 350 Twin in at 74 Motorsports for a 2008 Raptor 700R its blue and white We just done the trade-in today so i dont know how i like it, its Very responsive though!

since you started goin off topic I have a quick question is a 700r faster then a banshee?

the 400 isnt too much of a beast ;) I ride my dad's drz400 and its pretty tame actually. Right now im saving for a 450x, its going to be hella sick once i get it.

ive got a couple of bikes...
2001 suzuki dr200 - road legal
1989 yamaha xt600 - road worthy (not legal though :P)
1983 kawasaki csr-650 - road legal (its a freakin 4 cylinder engine in a bike.)
i love my toys!

the banshee stock with t5 toomies wouldnt even smoke our xr400 w/ a fmf pipe. But it was fast as heck though!! I miss it! i love 2 strokes but in a way love 4 strokes too.

ok...i havent herd from him in forever anywase. I need to get rid of the RC though im gettin older and have/want other stuff....
jeff

Yeah, they boot really quickly. Overall they're more polished and appealing than almost any other laptop.

Not sure whether it's worth getting an iBook though. Those are old aren't they?
