i5 4670k a good 1 ???

Hello guys, like som people now I was deciding to change from i7 3820 to 4670k, but after some tips I just buy that extra setup.

so these are my settings and it is rock solid stable, but because why have now an ambient temp of 27c degrees here I am not going any higher.

ratio 45
llc level 6
power phase control optimized.
cpu current capability 120%
internal pll overvoltage enabled
vcore bios 1.1980v
cpu input voltage 1.8v
cpu spread disabled

its itb stable/linx stable and aida stable.

does it look like a good 1????

so wait you're thinking about buying a new computer or you already have it at those settings?

the 4690k is newer and runs cooler

I now whats newer, but I already have this 1 , and yes I now the 4690k is cooler, for sure.
I have a hot little bugger, hahaha, it hits 85 degrees, under a corsair h105 with a vcore of 1.180v. but at the moment ambient temp is around 27 degrees Celsius.
but that's no problem hahaha.

but I would like to now how good my cpu is.
Its a es sample and it is 100% stable at 4.5ghz with the settings above only the vcore is dropped to 1.180v.
At 1.3v it boosts in to windows at 4.9ghz.

yea that's a good one. the only thing I'd be worried about is if you want to push that high, temperatures will DEFINITELY hold you back. that is definitely one to delid.

also be careful, people have been observing a phenomenon that causes a great overclocker cpu to start crashing if the voltage is set too high for too long a period. basically if it comes down to 4.8ghz @ 1.3v and 4.9ghz at 1.35 DEFINITELY take the slower route. because what'll happen is the voltage degrades the cpu over time and in a month or two it may start crashing at those settings.

I speak from experience because I killed a 4770k @ 1.4v for 2 days. never went above 75C even in prime95. (had it delidded w/ coollabs liquid ultra)

At the moment I don't go over this speed, maybe 4.6 because I think its stable at 1.2v but will see, I,m looking for somebody that wants to delid for my because I don't have any experience with that, and I don't want to kill my cpu first time hahahaha

but I,m testing to see how low the vcore can go with 4.5ghz.
I tried 1.165v and it gives me a blue screen after 2 runs itb.
At 1.170v I could run 10 runs itb on high so now going for the final test.

oke so far to test stability at the lowest vcore for 4.5ghz, the way I do it.
30 run itb at high settings vcore at 1.170v

well if you want to buy intels overclocking insurance you can do that. but, the heat will cause it to throttle and turn the clockspeeds down anyways. so you wont be able to o/c it high enough to kill it.

now, if you delid it, it voids both the normal warranty and the overclocking insurance so just be wary of that.

btw my 4770k doesn't even go over 60c on a hot day, like 30 ambient... in prime 95. its delidded with the coollabs liquid pro. and a low profile 140mm thermalright axp-200 muscle with the fan set to a constant 20%. so like... it really honestly idles at pretty close to room temp like 3-5c above room temp its ridiculous lol. oh and I have the hd 4600 integrated gpu o/ced to 1800mhz it never even goes above like 50c in real world applications

keep in mind i7's on average run 10-20 Celsius hotter than i5's

Yes I now It voids the warranty, but because its a ES chip there is no warranty, but I,m not delid anything, hope I find somebody that wants to do that.

honestly unless you have really shaky hands or something I wouldn't entrust someone else to do it because they might screw it up too, and if they do it could ruin friendships lol

I cant see you finding anyone willing to do it for you.
