i7 2600k newb

Ok so I built my first pc last week and everything is fine, and am very happy with it.

I somewhat know how to overclock, just don't know what settings to use.

My specs:
ASRock Fatal1ty P67 Professional
i7 2600k
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus
EVGA GTX 580
128 GB SSD
1tb HDD
Fractal design r3 (case)
8GB Ram
CORSAIR Professional Series HX850 (CMPSU-850HX) 850W

I want to overclock my cpu to anything low past the 4.0 ghz line, this will be running 24/7.

Any help will be appreciated. thanks

the easiest explanation is to go to the bios and find the overclocking/cpu settings page, then find the multiplier and bump it up .5 at a time, then boot and rune a stability checker, i think prime95 is a good one, and if successful then go ahead and reboot with the multi .5 higher. also remember to let prime run for a good while so you are sure it is stable enough to leave running, and also it is smart to have a temp monitor open and in view so you know you aren't going to overheat.
