My hardware finally came a day ago and I have been working on assembling my PC. Here is a teaser photo of (most of) my hardware:

Only three problems so far:
1.) I had to RMA My Vertex 4 128GB because of a partially broken sata power connector.

2.) My CPU cooler backplate is not mounted correctly... I was not paying attention and it is sideways. (Should I re-mount it? I don't have anymore thermal paste.)

3.) I'm having issues with the Cable "management". The front part of my PC looks nice and clean, but the backside is a mess of course. I have not found a way to get all my cables in without making my side panel bulge. I will more than likely be buying a Semi-Modular PSU next time because of this. Could you all possibly show me your cable management for ideas?

Hey there,

If your cooler cools sufficientally then it's fine I'd say.

Show us a picture of the inside of the PC and I'll see what I can come up with.

Here's my cable management in the 2500K rig.

Not the best but I can't get my power cable behind the board.

Here it is in the C2Q:

Could not get a couple of decent shots tonight, but I'll try putting my storage devices in the top HDD racks instead of the bottom.

Cant get very good shots with this camera... I've got two extra sets sets of wires from the 410's fan controller, and a few extra from the PSU. I'll have to redo it later.

OK so the issue is the side panel doesn't quite fit? Usually you need quite a lot of force to get it on if cables are snaking underneath it. If you straighten up some the cables a bit and try to avoid overlapping cables that should help.

I wish I could say "pass it here and I'll have a look" but that's kind of hard when you're on the other side of the world to me. ;)

I've got it on now, I had to redo the wiring. Not sure if it is worse, or better but at this point it shouldn't matter :)

I think next time I'm Spending extra money for a Modular Power Supply, and a case that doesn't have a fan controller. When I order my keyboard, mouse, and all of that I'll take final photos.

Update: KVM Came today.
(Logitech G110 Keyboard, Roccat Kone + Mouse, Cheap Logitech speakers.)

While In the bios I noticed the CPU temp was at 36 degrees pretty much right away, So I'm wondering if this is normal or if I will have to re-install my cooler. As far as I know normal Idle with a Coolermaster 212 type cooler is I believe around 25 degrees.

Otherwise Progress on my SSD's RMA is unknown.
