i7-3770k Overclocking

Hello,

I've recently built my new computer, thanks to this forum, and I've been pondering overclocking my CPU. I've researched it for quite a while, but, as you'd expect, there are a lot of variations in the method.

What I would like is a simple advisement as to what I should try, and how I would go about doing it. I've already downloaded the program MSI Afterburner, and would like to know if this is the best option for overclocking, or if I should do it within the BIOS?
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H.
Cooler: Noctua NH-D14.

MSI Afterburner is for you GPU not CPU. Use RealTemp to monitor CPU temperatures

It's a bit much to go into detail about how to OC. Nice that someone else already did. Here is the guide that I used when OCing my 3570k

http://www.overclock.net/t/1247413/ivy-bridge-overclocking-guide-with-ln2-guide-at-the-end

The entire thing is a good read but the section that really matters to you start where is says "Preface to OC"

Good Luck and we'll be here if you need help with it. :D

As you Overclock, if you would, could you please reference back to this thread giving full details of your findings.

Details I am interested:
1) Full system details; including MOBO, CPU, GPU, PSU, Amount and brand of HDD+SSD, Case, Cooling choices (including location and brand of fan.
2)Abient temps during testing
3)Idle CPU temps, Load CPU temps
4) Programs used for recording and use for load simulation
5)Length of time under load

*Even screenshots work

As you might see in my signature, I too have a 3770K. I am curious on your findings of a stable overclock and these details are nice to figure out what my theoretical overclock would look like. Not to mention, a record of findings with great detail help others to do the same.

So I ask, if you would, could you help a brotha out

Thanks a million
