Icon drop shadow problem (Windows XP)

Well, I've tried to get the color text disappear, but it's still there.

Now, yes....The "Lock Web Items on Desktop" is unchecked and the "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" option IS checked. I've checked for the best appearance and whatnot, but won't budge.

How can I get the icons on the desktop to change back so there's the drop shadow?

To make your background appear through your desktop icons

To make your background appear through your desktop icons:
start>control panel>performance and maintenance>adjust visual effects>check the box for "use drop shadows for icon lables on the background"
